The irony of people who claim to love Jesus or be christians siding with Mike Pence, a man who is working with someone who is a thieving adulterer who has repeatedly borne false witness would be hillarious if it wasn’t so pathetic
It goes back to that notion of “we’re all sinnerful,” cause it lets them excuse their own side of anything while condemning their opponents for doing the same things or less.

Not to derail the well-deserved hate on fake Christians, but why did it take a bisexual woman for us to stop using only the bible to swear people in? Church and state, i.e. government and religion, are supposed to be separate, but we use the bible for everything. No wonder there are so many morons in office.
Sadly a lot of the time that seperation seems to be in name only as far as a lot of right wing politicians are concerned given the sheer number of Republicans who seem to think that America should be a christian extremist dictatorship…and who use their warped reading of the bible to try and justify the persecution and oppression of anyone whose not a straight cis white wealthy christian male
Also she didn’t swear in on a law book because she’s bisexual, but because she’s also an atheist. I think that in and of itself is a huge accomplishment to get elected as an atheist (you don’t see a lot of atheists in government and in some states/cities they’re not allowed to run for office or it’s highly discouraged to), not only should we celebrate her being bisexual and getting elected (also a huge accomplishment!) But also being a bisexual atheist and on top of that a fashion icon I mean look at her asddfghjklll
